the undead darlings broadside series makes material William Faulkner’s pithy-but-now-cliché idea that writers kill their darlings during the revision process. this series of limited edition letterpress printed broadsides showcases passages that authors initially included in book manuscripts but ultimately cut from their published versions, & features images made with RISOgraph, screen, block, & polymer plate printing practices. the result is a growing archive of previously unpublished prose from books that readers know & love presented as works of art in their own right, of conversations with authors whose takes on craft & process are rife with heart & mind. dead darlings be damned….
